Nora + sumit
We'd like to request that the publishing of this gallery be regarded as a formal petition for engaged couples everywhere to consider the genius that is a brunch wedding. Donuts...check. Mimosas...absolutely. Coffee...yes, please! What's better than a leisurely brunch with all of your favorite people?
Nora and Sumit aced the "laid back wedding" vibe with their Sunday morning ceremony and brunch reception at the Loring Social. A small gathering of friends and family, sipping mimosas and coffee, looked on as Nora and Sumit exchanged vows in front of a ceremony centerpiece Nora's father built. What's more, Nora's mother not only arranged all of the florals for the day, but she grew most of the flowers in her own garden!
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a lavish spread of brunch foods, bloody marys, and copious amounts of coffee while hopping in and out of the Northerly photo camper (our favorite wedding photo booth!). After brunching for a few hours, the couple retired to Betty Danger's Country Club with their immediate families and a few friends to round out their wedding celebrations with cocktails, mini golf, and a spin on the ferris wheel.
A reoccurring sentiment from the day was the sincere appreciation they had for each of their parents. They even went as far as to dedicate their entire wedding day to them. That “family connectedness” and constant air of appreciation defined Nora and Sumit’s day in a profound way—that, and the photos taken with an oversized gorilla statue. Yes, you'll want to scroll to the bottom for that.
